Updated: Drama Unfolds as Emefiele Eludes Cameras During Court Appearance

In a compelling turn of events, Godwin Emefiele, the suspended governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), adeptly avoided the scrutiny of cameras as he made his entrance at the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) High Court on Thursday.

Having remained in the custody of the Department of State Services (DSS) since his arrest subsequent to his suspension by President Bola Tinubu on June 9th, Emefiele engaged in courteous exchanges with his legal team within the court premises.

As the operatives of the secretive law enforcement agency ushered him into the courtroom, the press corps found themselves restricted from freely capturing photographs of the defendant, who was also effectively shielded by his legal representatives.
